As mentioned earlier this week - this past weekend, my online shop got a massive update! Seven products were updated, and there are also seven brand new products added to the shop! You can visit the shop here: Byte Size Treasure
So what's new?
Seven of the existing pencil pouches were given matching removable charms. The new charms (that are included with the purchase of a pencil pouch) comes on a 3" black charm strap. These charms aren't just for the pouches - they can be hung on just about anything - cell phones, zippers, portable game systems - the possibilities are endless! It was something that I had thought about doing for a while, and I think it adds a bit of something extra to the pouches!
There are also SEVEN brand new products - including 2 new characters (that I introduced here on the blog a few weeks back). Spartan Octopus (also known as Spartan-opus) and Byte the Shark can currently be purchased on pencil pouches and UMBRELLAS! The umbrellas come with charms as well, but they are not removable. I also handmade the wrist straps. I'm in love with these umbrellas, and I've already sold a bunch. The stock is very limited at the moment, so get them before they're gone!

Some other products I've added are sleeping masks, wall clocks, and a clip-on keychain watch.
More stuff coming soon - and a giveaway!
Stay tuned. And Happy Friday everyone! I have some crazy big news in regards to work that I should be able to share soon! See you all next week. Enjoy your weekend!!
If you follow the Facebook page // twitter account // instagram account for my shop, Byte Size Treasure, you have been introduced to some new characters before they enter the shop.
These characters include Byte the tiny teal shark (the BST mascot), and Spartan Octopus(aka Spartan-opus!). People seem to love both of these characters, which is great! I'm so glad.

Well, they're about to make their official debut on the shop storefront! I got in a couple products for both characters - pencil pouches and umbrellas. I've already sold 3 umbrellas and I haven't even had a chance to offer them in the shop yet. So I used the money I got from the first couple to order a bunch more.
I ordered test umbrellas months ago and wasn't happy with their quality so I never ordered more or offered to sell them. They felt cheap and I don't want cheap products in my shop. But the new umbrellas are bigger and better quality. My one big gripe is that they have the same stupid "wrist strap" as the last batch. I say "wrist strap" cause that is what they're supposed to be, but they're so small, they wouldn't fit on a baby.

So I will be making custom straps for the umbrellas! I also ordered some charms to add a little something extra to my pencil pouches, and I should have some extras to include with the umbrellas. I got notification that the charms shipped, but it could take weeks to get to me. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that they get here soon, so I can take pictures for the shop of all the new stuff.
You've seen it here, previews of upcoming products. As of today, they are not posted for sale yet. But the price of the pencil pouches are $12 and the umbrellas are $22.
You'll also notice my camera tripod - I got it back in April but it didn't have the shoe (the part that holds the camera to the tripod). I spent months online trying to find the part online, but to no avail. Finally, in December, I found it! For $5!! Yay!
I've had this BIG project in my head for a while, and it's slowly coming to fruition. Number 13 in my 2013 new years resolutions included getting my online design shop up-and-going. Before I offer up and designs, I needed a identity and a brand.
Enter : Ancore Everblue. The name has been picked out for a while, and the logo has been in the works for months. I wanted the logo to be great - I'm offering design products, how terrible would it be if my logo for the shop was awful?! It went through a bunch of revisions, and I had a bunch of fellow designers take a look and give me feedback. I even got a dribbble invite and account and posted the logo there.
Without further ado, here is the final logo:

Below you can see some of the more definitive stages it went through. I've also included the breakdown of its construction - to show how much thought and work went into this.

I'm glad I moved away from the solid circle. Adding the watercolor watermark gave it more personality.
Keep a look out in the future for previews of some of the design work to come in the shop. My goal is to have the shop running by June. I want to have a number of things to offer before opening it, and I've already gotten several blogger themes, business card templates, and more available. I will probably get it open before my initial goal, but I'm not going to rush it!
I've been running my online shop for over a year now... But for the last 6 months, I knew I was in dire need of an update. It was originally just an extension of my portfolio site... and it had a terrible name. For months, I doodled in sketchbooks, brainstormed with friends - did everything to try and come up with a new name, a new image.
Months of hard work (in what little free time I had) paid off and in December I launched the reopening of my shop under a new name - Byte Size Treasure.

For now, I'm selling mostly digital prints of cutesy artwork, but I'm expanding into more handmade things as time goes on. The newest project are my little Cupcake Jellyfish characters as crocheted plushes (or amigurumi for those versed in crochet-speak). I have big plans for the future, and I'm very excited!
I'll be posting previews of upcoming products, coupon codes, and eventually some giveaways! So stay tuned.
